πŸƒβ€β™€οΈβœ¨ First Blog Post from Josefina Athletic: My Running Journey βœ¨πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Hello! I’m Neusa, founder of Josefina Athletic. 😊

I’m a true running enthusiast – whether it’s on the streets, in the park, competing in a race, or simply enjoying every step. My journey into the world of running began at the age of 21, on my doctor’s advice. I was diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and had so much energy to burn that running became the perfect outlet.

At the time, I was working at a bank and pursuing my first degree in Business Administration – and believe me, I still had energy to spare! πŸš€

By the third week of running, I was already hooked. My body craved more miles, more sweat, more endorphins. I would get up at 5:30am to run 10K before heading to work, and after my evening classes, I’d hit the park again at 9pm for another 5K. And the next day? There I was, fully recharged and ready to start all over again.

This routine became a part of my life for many years, accompanying a 19-year marriage and the upbringing of two wonderful children.

I’ve run races ranging from 5K, 10K, 15K, 18K, to even 21K. Oddly enough, I’ve never run a full marathon. Don’t ask me why – I honestly don’t know! πŸ˜‚

But running became more than just the miles. I fell in love with the sweat dripping down my face, the wind tangling my hair, and even the smell of my favorite sunscreen (runners, you know what I mean).

Then came the wardrobe shift:

  • Dress pants made way for leggings.
  • Cotton and silk blouses were swapped for polyamide, polyester, and elastane shirts.
  • My high heels and pumps were replaced by running shoes with specialized cushioning.

Ah, life really is full of surprises! 🎁

Today, with a slower professional pace, I’ve decided to fully immerse myself in the specialized world of running. I want to connect with all of you:

  • Beginners taking their first steps,
  • Seasoned runners collecting medals,
  • Marathoners pushing their limits,
  • Park joggers, treadmill warriors, and street runners.

Here on the Josefina Athletic Blog, we’ll exchange ideas, tips, and suggestions. I’m excited to share my experiences and, most importantly, learn from all of you.
